Clooud.tv - Media sharing while monetizing

My name is Chris, I am a recent college graduate, living in Los Angeles, who started his own independent freelancing web design company. With a passion for making the web a better, safer and more private network, I have developed a cloud media sharing platform, called Clooud.tv.

Now, you might ask yourself, why another “media sharing” site? Fair question. Quite frankly, we felt like there was not an all-around solution of monetizing your possible “viral” content and sharing your media on a modern site. With sites like “Photobucket”, “imgur” and “Youtube”, there are solutions of sharing quality media, but wouldn’t it be awesome if they gave back to the users who made them so popular? We feel like that’s important! And so does Youtube. We wanted to create a safe and private platform with a focus on giving back to the users for their content, whether it may be audio or video files, or images. Soon non-media files will be able to be monetized as well.

Any media is allowed. If you want to keep your media private from the public eye, set your media to private and it can only be shared via the URL.

I would love to see some of you people posting some quality media on Clooud and

Are you paying per view to your URL or also allow embedding of video to monetize?

thanks for your reply. We pay whenever a video is watched and depending on how much of the video was watched. The video has to be uploaded through Clooud. I currently have not implemented the option to embed videos from other hosts (like Youtube, Vimeo, etc.), but it definitely is on my to-do list.

Having read through your affiliate and earnings system, it's only worthwhile for people with videos which are 10mins+. In which case it's not worth me using it. Just some feedback: Add og tags to pull featured image for social sharing.

Thanks chakde, and yes, you are right. The longer the video, and the more time it is being watched, the more more the affiliate will earn. I agree, it's far from being perfect and we would love to make it worthwhile for users like yourself. Please check back soon, and most likely part of the affiliate system will have changed.

And I completely agree, og tags will be added ASAP!
