I have a standard advertisement site that I would like to post content in the background while still maintaing a simple look. That way Im adding content and increasing the index count, but managing it like an autoblog.

Whenever WP Robot creates a post, it always adds it to the homepage. I CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO TURN THIS OFF.

What is the best way to continue posting content in the background while maintaining a simple one to two page look ?

Hi
I think I know this one! :)

In the admin area for yor WP blog, go to the SETTINGS, then, READING.
You will see a radio button to chooose what your front page displays.
It is either a static page or your latest posts.
Set it to a static page say for example your home page.
Then it show your front page unchanged regardless of the changing posts.
Good luck, I hope that is what you want..

Thats a good call. Im not sure how i overlooked it...

Creating a default page to hidden, setting that pages visibility to private, and then changing the post page to this hidden page works. then just assign wp robot to do its thing. all posts would be hidden from that point on

Spot on, I have some doing it just like that too :)

I know how you missed it though, it really is not the most obvious place for such a fundamental setting.
I only knew cos I have lost it myself so many times!

question from a newbie...
isn't cloaking what sites get banned for big time?

the solution I thought of is to install 2 WP... one on main root folder and one as mydomain.com/blog..

so main site would be nice and clean while /blog would collect all junk...

your solution seems simpler though...
I just wonder if it's sustainable.... Wouldn't want to loose the website...

any thoughts?

Very simple, get RYO categories visible plugin and add all your wp robot posts in a specific category(s) and then have the plugin hide the category on the home page. Works for me.

Thats exactly what Im doing. Its more hiding moreso than cloaking...
