I have now ticked 'forward parameters to url' Will this fix this issue? I get sales occasionally but does seem right?? Any help would be appreciated!

Higher than a 15% difference is a definite cause for concern. Also check your server error logs and see if the problem is caused by you and can easily be fixed.
