Hey Y'all,

Can someone give me a few ideas on how best to cloak (send traffic through affiliate links) in 2012?

I appreciate there will always be a risk of penalty but whats the best way for maximum longevity for such techniques? Is it best to user agent and ip cloak? Where can i get scripts to do this- can anyone supply? Where can i get updated lists of google ip's? Is there newer/more advanced methods? Do simple methods like a no follow iframe to a no indexed, 301/302 redirecting site work? Is cloaking dead- Is google too hot on it nowadays?

Im taking this seriously so willing to pay for help from experienced members or mods if the consensus is that cloaking can and does work.

Thanks

Oh you're Larry Page ? Than Cloaking as far as you know , is DEAD.

Well, maybe my pisstake username is backfiring! Would Larry really use his name?! Anyone got any serious answers or do i need to re register with a less ironic username?

Lmao. my vote is for a different username.

This is a sensitive subject though, doubt you're going to get much response.
(with all the recent Google updates going on, etc)

wow, thanks for all the very useful replies. So much for this being the best bh forum on the net....jokers.

Goodbye forum

Cloak with bit.ly. And then redirect through is .gd. And finally block the referer and delete your cookies. Then have your ad go to pastebin and have your affiliate link there.

it's a joke bro

Obfuscated java-script redirects are probably your best bet if you are trying to do search engine cloaking. For affiliate links shorteners no longer work that well, I've seen some neat tricks with google docs and yahoo pages.

If cloaking does work, and I'm sure there is a way using some creative javasript, jquery or Ajax, I highly doubt anyone will share it here unfortunately.

which cloaking method you choose depends on where the source of traffic is coming from and what your assumptions are about the human visitors.

Your main choices are:

IP based delivery
user agent based delivery
language code detection
geo detection
referrer detection
cookie / flash cookie detection

and combinations there of

Your main delivery choices are:

server side redirect
server side content replacement
client side javascript redirect
frame/iframe
flash

and lots of variations.

There are a number of commercial scripts around (mine included) that all work for what they do. Check with the owners or their support desk, tell them what you're basically trying to do, and they should help.
