Have you ever had a client that wants to rank for everything? ugh...

I have one client sells blue widgets and red widgets and green widgets and small widgets and large widgets and they sell in city x and city y and city z

they want to rank for everything
buy red widget
buy blue widget city x
buy red widget city y

ugh...

Clients don't understand SEO and even SEO people sometimes don't understand SEO. What do you say to your clients when they want everything?

Why are you complaining, the more keywords you have to work with the better chances a) you'll hit on something that really takes off and b) you sum up to something worth the mention. Just work all their keywords.

On local the more keywords the easier it is to keep your client happy.

So concentrate on the easiest first. Once their making money,
You can threaten to quit.
If they give you any shit.

Multiple options:

- Do it.
- Explain your client that it's not doable.
- Get another client.

I bet his budget is 100 a month right. If it was me I would pass him over. No matter what you do he wont be happy.

can you substantiate your claim (not sure if substantiate is the right word) I mean can you expand on that, what do you mean? why is it easier?

to everyone else:
The client is motivated to dominate his sector no matter the cost. They want to destroy their competition. website has like 4000 pages and they want to rank every page so we're talking about at least 4000 keywords here. Let's say each keyword will require 10 backlinks, so we're talking about 40,000 backlink sources, I don't know of 40,000 backlink sources. Unless some pages will rank naturally without backlinks due to the power of the domain?

if you're going to give me shit for asking this question, don't bother replying. I know someone is going to say "if you don't know what the hell you're doing you should not be doing SEO" STFU nobody knows what the hell they are doing, SEO is all experimentation, we are all experimenting. and the purpose of this forum is to ask questions so there is no reason to give someone shit for asking questions.

20% of clients cause 80% of your headaches. Expectation management is just as important as actually doing the work. If they want massive results on a shoestring budget, you should either try to re-educate them on how things work, or (usually the better route) fire them as your client. Sometimes it's not worth the headache, learned that the hard way.

Edit: Just saw that they don't care about the cost - if that's the case you might be able to outsource to a high-quality provider and pocket the difference, some projects are just too big to try and tackle alone.

ugh...if only I could find a high quality provider.

I have no idea how you hope to survive in business. Here's an outline :
1. Keyword research, 4k pages, 35k keywords identified, "manual", $500 to as much as you can get away with. If they want to pay less, add more quotes to "manual".

2. Link building from reputable domains (40s/50s+ DA/PA etc), 10 links for each keyword, about $100 per link : 35000 * 10 * 100 = $35 million (you should be able to outsource for half that, at most, if you're entirely without support).

Or else, 2` Link building from bruteforce methods, buy 1-2mn XRummer links for a coupla hundred, or whatever, charge him what you can charge him, 5k if he swallowed the 500 before.

Why the fuck do you think nobody hires "SEO experts" but country bumpkins and assorted yahoos? Get with the program.

just quote them like 2k monthly to get rid of them.

in approx 48 h I will implement a new "how much is your monthly seo budget" form on my agency site.
SO I can be even faster weeding out the tyrekickers.

I love my job.

I usually harass girls on tinder, but being unfriendly to customers is more fun.

thats easy.

1 editorial link for eaxch site. 4000x200 purchase price. quote him that.

else, do some quick estimated costs for adwords. should be the same price, howver, for ONE keyword. where in seo you can rank a multitude.

experimentation?

The only expirements 99% of SEOmateurs out there do, is trying to find cheap ways.

the 1% know, there aint no cheap way to boost a virgin link profile to cope with competitionif you dont want to wait 1 year to "rank" something and somewhere

sadly, I still would like to hang on to the 99% - but disneyland is closing it doors now

what you have just explain made sence.

you client asking you to seo optimize a website for every local area for wiggets.

so what the problem , you can do this with all internal pages for every local town needed ?

would be easer to deadecate a website for each local town but possable with one website using internal pages

Got a bot for that written yet?

nah, I do that "white hat" and manual. ya know.

Only for liking I automate that.

Bots for tinder kind of expensive, need lots of tokens, sims, shit.

Buddy, Have to explain briefly about the ranking terms. And guide him properly, will get the order and do the best service for him
