Client stealing my Facebook ads (Agency)

Hi, someone just hired me to run their Facebook and Google ads and I'm not sure if I should run them from my own FB/Google account or their account.

I'm thinking that once I find some "winning" ads that are getting them good results and they have them on their own Google account, what's stopping them from keeping the ads and not paying me next month?

Is there any workaround for this like creating a sub-account on Google Ads for every client, or is it better to just run them from the client's account where they have their credit card in?

Is there any risk if I create new Google Ads accounts for them from the same device that I have my main personal Ads account, so they can't have access to them?

Even tho many clients won't leave you if you are making money for them, there are some bastards that will prefer to take you out and enjoy your campaign profits.

My advice: Create a new account for each client and share the credentials but keep the recovery email for yourself. In case of any mishaps, you can regain control of everything.

If you find a winning Ad campaign for your clients, they keep paying you to maintain it. Don't worry, just do a good job for them to get results.

I don't run an agency but in hindsight for past business transactions I've had, I wish I did this instead:

Giving full trust can lead to you getting stolen from sure. But if you start going out of your way and being less "trustful", you can't connect as genuinely to people and it's harder to establish great client relationships without being you 100%.

You take the risk of getting stolen from. If they steal, DROP THEM AND MOVE ON. It's a part of life. The type of person who drops you and does it themselves will find a work around or will attempt to cut you off even if you put systems in place, but the bottom line is you really don't want to work with them in the first place (especially long term). Save yourself the stress that hasn't even happened yet and if it ever does, don't let it affect the way you treat your clients in the future Of course don't give everything away either. There's a fine balance. But that's a separate issue
