My client has around 11 newspaper features since 2007 to 2012 in her local newspaper, but I also found 2 BBC features all with no links to the site. How would I go about getting them to add a do follow link to visit her site? My agency has re branded there website and done some press releases and facebook ads, but I believe these links would tip them over the edge for a big 16,000 monthly search term I am shooting for, which could be lucrative for me.
My plan of action so far is to get the same feature and rewrite it on her website, then outreach to the BBC and newspapers to let them know we have an updated version of the there feature, in which we link to a previous feature and would they be able to add a hyperlink to the updated version.
Another option is to simply outreach and ask for a link back to our website for purposes if they google our company name and the BBC page ranks we want to then link to the site from the article.
If anyone has a tactic they can share or help me out on, I would appreciate it.
