Client has 200k keywords, how do I track them.

New client has a list of 200k keywords (products). We're starting with about 10k, which is way more than MySEOTool can handle, without me upgrading a dozen times over. I have Rank Tracker by Link Assistant, but I feel like that would get messy with proxies and everything.

Does anyone know of a tool that can track ranks in Google on a weekly basis for that many keywords?

Read around on some other forums, and some people are recommending using Rank Tracker by Link Assistant. I also feel like this is a rare client to have (most have 5-100 keywords), so I don't necessarily want to have an entire tool created.
 
same problem here... my client have 29 URL's, each URL has 6 keywords. that's not all.. I have to rank them by just by doing web 2.0 and directory submissions
 
I have a 1000 KW client. The problem with any program I tried is it would freeze my computer, so I just broke apart the list into 300-500 KWs at a time and that seemed to help. Also it really depends on how far you want to look. I limit it to top 100 because that's what my client wants but we all know noone goes 10 pages deep on anything. I also broke it apart by search engine, and I ran them individually vs. Google-Bing-Yahoo. It seems like it ran faster when I just left it on 1 search engine.

Question is, how are you optimizing this many keywords without looking completely unnatural to the search engines (Mainly Google)? The only thing I can come up with is content management. But even that is a giant amount of keywords. Does this client have a clue about SEO?

Awesome tool. It says it only checks ranks every 30 days. I actually switched from SEOMoz and RavenTools to MySEOTool, because I wanted daily updates. For this client, I'd settle on weekly. Thanks for the great share though.


Most of these keywords are very low competition, but I would like to be able to compare the starting place to the current/ending place. It provides a lot more to show the client.

I see. So overall authority of the site increasing.

I think you would most likely need to get a programmer for this, or go direct to the third party companies that provide the service (Authority Labs). Eitherway you are probably looking at a good amount of coin.

Why not just monitor analytics?
 
I agree with the analytics, and maybe I'll pop out the top 100 searched or so words and track them. We're still working on the "fine print" but hopefully that will be done over the next day or two.
 
It is possible, but the cost of this tool would be in the mid $xxxx per month
 
Theres Serpbuddy that is created by BassTrackerBoats but that would cost you a lot of money each month. I would say buying proxies and using Rank Tracker is your best option.
 
Good luck, cost too much I bet to be feasible, go with analytics as mentioned.

With a site of your size you need to be a ttraffic guy and focus on the important keywords really

200k is more than any client I've dealt with and I have clients with turnovers of 3 million a month
 
I would buy multiple licenses of Rank Tracker Enterprise. Maybe 10 licenses and setup 10 VPS's loaded with 1000+ proxies each.

It's definitely going to cost thousands a month to track that many keywords so be sure to charge accordingly. :)
