Hi, Like the title indicates how a designer convince clients about technology he didn't know and even don't want to change his mind.
Like website without images, no two or more columns, only one column with full of text. Is this document or site?
I personally want that every site or project i take should be designed professionally, fulfill all requirements and boost up clients sales.
What to do with these types of clients?

Draw the site in paint and upload it with the img tag on center

Sounds like a bad client. Not all clients are worth the trouble. This one sounds like they won’t know how to appreciate the service that you’re providing, since it doesn’t seem like they actually even understand the service that you’re providing. I’d part ways with them, and save myself future headaches, and maybe even bad reviews, etc

He will be happy if I do the same one column layout. And I'm sure give best reviews by doing this. Lol

Walk away.

Learning to say no is one of the hardest things to do, more so when there is money on the table.

However the amount of support and handholding for that customer is going to take time. Your time is worth something, you will end up loosing money on the project and devaluing your self, not just that but you will not be able to meet the clients expectations.

So you have a few options:

1 - Walk away.
2 - Run away.
3 - You can spend the time to educate this client who won't value what you bring to the table, you will fight and both walk away and then learn the lesson the hard way.

Good luck.

Yeah, focus on what makes you money, what you enjoy and leave dealing with arseholes to others.

You should always ask yourself a question, are you comfortable fulfilling all your client requirements, and in general are you comfortable working with a specific client. Be polite, be nice, show respect to the client, explain your vision calmly but if you both still can't agree and you can afford it, just resign with this project.

I'm working with very peculiar clients. At the same time, I am very allergic to very shallow and vain people. I'm not judging anyone but I'm sorry I just can't work with some people.

I had to resign from working with two clients in the past, just because I didn't want to work with them. It wasn't easy because they wanted to work with me, they even threatened me they will ruin my reputation if I won't continue to work with them. I still didn't agree. No money was worth it.

Nothing major happened, I'm still working in this field, I chose who I want to work with, this week for one of my clients I earned in just one day $3000 with only one single post. That's why my clients still love me :D
