Can anyone help me with this situation.

I had been mentoring somebody and he stated he was happy at the end of the sessions, thanked me and asked me, what else could I teach him.

Anyways, 6 weeks later, I logged on, after travelling in europe. To note, that the client has now done a chargeback for $200

The chargeback states that somebody has basically used the account, without authentication.

Paypal are giving me an option to dispute this... but i am not sure what the best approach is with this. As this is the first time I have had this happen.

I feel the client got me to mentor him, with the intentions to chargeback.. 6 weeks later, randomly chargingback. WTF!

about this Pay Pal clients ask for refund. I know there will be a open case whenever buyers ask for a refund , so is like a conversatoon first , settle

if seller never respond , how pay pal will react ?

Reply to the dispute with screenshots, heading the screenshot where he agreed to pay the fee.

But the so called "client" is claiming to paypal, that somebody has used his paypal account without his knowledge to send me money for the mentoring. So I think he has told paypal, someone has hacked his account and sent me money for mentoring.

What is strange to me, is that 6 week later, this was now "noticed"... pfftt i don't buy it. I think it's an intentional chargeback from the client.

Watch out for PayPal. I had a client doing the same after 4 months because he needed money badly.
Disputed $4,500 of my traffic service which he knew I couldn't fight the dispute since I used PPC cloaking.

I lost after having an unlimited account with PayPal with good standing for 10 years+.
The day I lost is the day I never used PayPal anymore!

What you use now?

Like @Aaric said, if you have the conversations and can somehow tie it to his identity (the one he uses on paypal) you will win the dispute. These are things that happen when you use paypal as a processor. Theres people out there that will try to dispute everything, that doesn't mean they will win.

fight till the end win that mother fker.
these junk shit need people like you to punish and educate them.

Absolute mother fuckers when people do this. It's a major flaw in the paypal system, major flaw that will no doubt be abused for many years to come.

So the name of skype is different to the name of the paypal. Would this matter ?

However, the peson I taught is jewish and the name that has sent me the money is jewish as well. I assumed it was a friend or something that has sent me the money.

What should i do ?

Organization is key.

You need to prepare as much evidence as possible, and properly claim your case!

If my memory isn't too cloudy, I do recall there being 3rd party services out there that will handle the dispute for you.

But even with all that and the end of the day, PayPal will do however they please.

I have been on the bad end of that stick, back in my ebay days. Couple of false chargebacks almost ruined my business.

Boy do I hate paypal, and here I am finding myself using them again as a primary payment gateway, as I simply do not have a choice in most cases.

I hear you bro... $200 for me at this moment in time, I needed, as I am just about to move house. So this for me, is a major kick in the balls.

What would you advise I do about my client, who I taught on paypal, has a different name from the paypal sender ?

I did have the client confirm to me via skype the transaction ID, once he had sent money. However, his skype is in a different name.
