I used http://bit.do to shorten a URL and help me keep track of the visitors I send to an ad I am planning to put on a BuySellAds site.
the ad is not live yet. I have clicked it a few times to see that it is working but I have these stats for bit.do:
107 clicks (38 desktop clicks + 69 mobile clicks )
Distinct users: 18 (distinct IP addresses)
Distinct referrer sites: 2 domains
Distinct referer pages: 14
Stats views (this page): 24
Referer site
Access times
partner.googleadservices.com 69
Direct access (could not identify link source or referer information) 38
How many times a day does Google ad-services go to my site?

Who would the direct referrer be?
it just seems like a lot of activity for an advertisement that is not even live.
BTW:
It is not a google ad I am running. It is a Peerfly offer that I will try to promote with a banner. Why is Google doing anything with it.
I see googleadservices all the time in the lower left hand corner of my browser. it displays all the URLs being called up to load a page. is this a possible cause for the slower page load times? Sometime I click on link on a not fully loaded web page and get taken to the wrong place because all this fooling around with loading all these seperate URLs. the image is in another place by the time the page fully loads and I get the wrong URL.
