With ClickBank the commissions is far better (like avg. 50%-75% ) -- with Amazon it's avg. 4%-8%. But the great thing about Amazon is that even tho they pay low commissions, it a worldwide recognizable brand that people will happily pull they're wallet out and buy without a second thought. So depending on your niche, you could make up for that small comm in volume.
ClickBank is fine too, for some, some people like it but I just don't like the way they operate. One reason is because in order to get paid your first payment be advised that you have to sell 5 items generated from 5 different credit cards (or something like that last I checked) to be paid your commissions. Plus if you go several months without generating your sales, you can watch your commissions get eaten away like a chili dog.
