Do i need to make a website for my ebook or do the affiliates do all that?
Just wondering what I'm getting myself into before i start.
thanks!

I mean this from a friendly point of view... don't try a be a vendor.
If you ask the above question, then you are already wasting your time.

Become an affiliate first, learn the ropes, make sales, and see how it all works.
It's abit like wanting to be a mechanic without ever even driving a car, or knowing
how to change a spare wheel.. do yourself a kind favor and start off slow.

making an ebook would be easy for me..
its the website/advertising/ all the other stuff that will be hard for me.
thats why i was asking if i can just make the ebook and they do the rest.
found the answer and i guess i do gotta make a site for it. : (

Anyway, you have to SELL your idea. To clients or to affiliates. There are so many products to promote that affiliates can picky.
And you have to prepare some sales materials if you want to get their attention.

Anyone can make the ebook.

The hard stuff is what makes money.

This is right on the money.

For the OP:

How do you make an ebook that makes money? That is more difficult thing to say.

But few things that it should have:
- offer something valuable in a format that is easy to digest
- target specific group of customers. People who have an ability and willingness to pay.
- sell a transformation ("Now you weigh 200lbs, after 8 weeks you could be 30lbs lighter") etc
- have something unique in the product - if it is the same stuff that is already out there you need to be extremely good at marketing and positioning.

So, easier said than done.

You can market your product entirely by yourself, or you could have thousands of affiliate working for you. Hell that's the point of being a vendor isn't it?
