Clickbank + Twitter, does it convert for you?

I've got around 5 or 6 Twitter accounts in different niches, in total probably around 4,000 real followers. I'm not doing anything with any of them at the moment due to focusing on a new project and haven't done anything for weeks but they are still growing, new followers every day.

I feel like I should be at least doing something, first thing that sprang to mind was find a good Clickbank offer for each niche, set up social oomph to post ads to twitter every hour promoting some product and see if I can make any sales. The money would be much needed as not making much right now because of just starting on this new project.

How does twitter traffic convert for you? Any tips to get conversions / sales? Can I shorten my affiliate link and post it to twitter without any issues with Twitter or Clickbank?

people in twitter are not the buying type they are often people who like gossip etc etc. best way to earn on my experience is send people to your adsence site.
 
yeah I've no luck promoting clickbank product using twitter.
 
Not too encouraging news. Well I don't have an adsense site, so that's out. Don't really have time to create one either, all my time is spent on the new project.
 
i used clickbank for years, but never made a dime looool... and twitter is even worse.
 
I would use twitter for ranking/backlinking purposes first of all and then for buying traffic...

You no need to give up your time, just give up some bucks on bst here or fiverr to build your adsense site. you have the traffic source then use it..lol..
 
I have never tried a campaign with twitter, but I've tried a number of times promoting CB products on facebook and I never sold a single copy that way!
 
Twitter traffic is completely shit. The attention span of a Twitter user while they are using Twitter is literally about 2 seconds. It's hard enough to get them to sign up for a CPA offer, let alone get out their credit card. Also a huge percentage of Twitter traffic is mobile, and credit card signups from mobile phones are almost non-existent.

IMHO the best use for Twitter these days is building a list. Then you can mail your prospects repeatedly, build a relationship blah blah, and hopefully get them to get out their CC when they are sitting at their computer one day and when they have more time and attention to pay to your offer.

Just make sure that you make a version of your squeeze page for mobile and redirect users to the appropriate page.
 
I've used Twitter to make sales before. In fact it was the only way I was making sales when I was re-selling social media fans / followers. I didn't get rich from it but a couple of sales a day.

What's the strategy behind twitter users clicking on an adsense site? I'm not following why they are likely to leave twitter, go to a random adsense site and click on ads. Care to explain?

How are you getting them to your squeeze page if they don't pay attention to anything? Any tips?
 
twitter sucks for clickbank and selling products. but isn't bad for driving lots of traffic to your site in hopes of adsense clicks
 
Twitter traffic is as they said, low attention span, gossip loving users. I find it best to set up an auto Tweeting, and tweet something related to your niche every hour, as your doing the follow/unfollow method to gain followers, then once you have a reasonable amount in the niche you want, you send them to your squeeze page to get there email, then start sending out emails once you have a nice list. Then, start sending the Twitter traffic to different links on your site within your niche, get them loving your site and regularly going to your links that you post, then send them to a sales/cpa page within your niche.
 
I might try and set up a couple of email lists for the bigger groups and get the users to my squeeze page.
 
Twitter traffic is useless.You won't make any money with it.

Obviously it will depend on the amount of volume you are working with. I can also see (Gossip) traffic work very well with CPA offers.

Traffic = Traffic and it's the life of Internet Marketing. The more you get the better it is and tweak it along the way.

Good to see someone was making something from it. Once I tie up a few loose ends with my current project I'm going to try and make some money out of the traffic.

What's (AR)? What sort of traffic volumes were you working with? I have about 3500 to 4000 followers.

I ment auto responder with AR. When someone signs up for your opt-in you can setup automated emails for XX amount of days. I often sell a product over a 5 days auto responder, and then I will sell them other stuff as well.


The key with twitter is in re-tweeting.. as that can explode your tweet exposure = more traffic. 4000 followers isn't a lot but if you manage to get a good amount of re-tweets it can add up.


Your lander will need tweaking, different headlines, easy design etc etc... find out which niche converts well, which lander, which emails etc then keep getting followers and repeat.

Excellent advice @Autumn

O.P As everyone said and twitter traffic isn't really good for clickbank offers because they arent into buying mode and its very difficult to make them pull out their credit card. However what I have seen is if one has extremely targeted followers in any niche and is active with his followers sharing interesting and relative content regularly then this so called crappy traffic by everyone turns into a GOLD MINE.

Like I know a blogger who has tons of followers in a particular niche and he released his own product a while ago and just for a test he shared it with his twitter followers only, and guess what it came out to be highest earning day for him.

Bottom line is how much your followers trust you, if you are being followed blindly without any reason then that traffic wont do anything for you.....

As in REAL re-tweets by real people or using one of those re-tweet services?

One of my accounts for a while I was very involved with, very engaged, they loved me and re-tweeted everything I did but I've let things slip for a while as I've been too busy with a new project. I was using that account to advertise my SEOClerk gigs and it didn't generate massive amounts of sales but it got a few, think the problem could have been my gig descriptions / sales copy though as the amount of gig views I had compared to sales was terrible.

The other accounts (I have 4 or 5) are basically just auto posting RSS feeds from popular blogs and nothing else, the idea was to build up a following and then eventually use them as traffic for my SEOClerk gigs but I had to put that project on hold for a while so I've never used them for anything since.

I'm guessing it would be better to try and find a targeted offer for each niche rather than find a general always popular niche (like weight loss, health, making money online) and promote that to everyone?

If you already have decent amount of followers then find targeted offer for them, if not then pick any offer which is already converting and then find targeted traffic/followers for it....Simple
