Clickbank sub-affiliate stuff - Why do I even need a CB account then?

Is it necessary to have a Clickbank account when using RocketLanguages? I don't see what the point of signing up for CB if you can just sign up directly with the RL affiliate program. Or am I missing something obvious here?

They clearly say in the affiliate application form: "You must be registered with ClickBank"

You need to be registered with clickbank as you promote through them. Hence why they ask for clickbank ID. However, they are utilizing a whitelist so they may or may not approve you. If you promote prior to approval your sales will not be credited to you.
