Clickbank-Something is Really Wrong Here

If you want to drop the cookie,

<img src="http://YOURCBID.VENDORID.hop.clickbank.net" height=0 width=0>

Then to go directly to the purchase screen,

hxxp://1.VENDORID.pay.clickbank.net

This format will NOT override a ClickBank cookie that is already exists in the user computer. You might lose sales with this.

my cb sales dropped from $300/day to $20/day after last cb update .. Traffic is the same....

Are yall still having questions about your clickbank sales? I have daily traffic to my clickbank products, but not one sale. My traffic is very targeted, yet the only sales I have had were my own purchases. I promote a variety of products. Should I change to a new clickbank account? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

its clickbank.... they are stuggling and so taking commissions from people and trying to keep afloat because of this economic problem etc.... even hosting bills will be going up soon.

damn... seems like its not only me who is experience some slow down in sales.... i experience a slowdown especially in the middle of this month... Only had one sale when normally i would have at least a few hundred day.... i had a abnormally more less then $100 day then i ever had in the past few months...

Clickbank sucks-- I have spent hundreds of adwords dollars sending targeted clicks-- while I am up-- only by a few dollars-- not worth it in my opinion-- unless you have a magical niche-- I have tried about 40 different products at full blast--

Ya I was experiencing huge slowdown too... I thought it was me being lazy. But my sales have been coming back the last few days so...

haha... then how come some guru like amit could have 1.3million in his clickbank account? and why does steven clayton have $6k a day in his clickbank account everyday? You must be missing out on something...

It could be your strategy that could be wrong...

Im kinda new to blackhat methods.... but assuming someone is cookie stuffing your buyers....
if you in turn cookie stuff em when they visit your site...thereby ensuring you get credited...
would this get you in trouble with clickbank?.....
This could be the only way to protect yourself if this goes on....

I admit RichJerk85-- It could definitely be me-- Lol-- So let me rephrase my last statement-- "I suck at clickbank"

Dude, you have no idea what you are talking about. I publish on clickbank, and my product (it is software) requires a serial key to unlock it which is generated by software I wrote which replies to sales notifications.

If any of my customers don't get their serial number, they would email me, and so far nothing has screwed up. Sometimes clickbank sales notifications are late, but they never skip a beat.

Any update on what's happening here? Was the problem due to cookie stuffing/parasite or something else?

ok FINALLY my FIRST clickbank sale. I only made $8 but it is a sale! I was just about to start over with a different account. I was really starting to believe my account wasn't working. FINALLY! Feel much better about it now. Damn all that daily targeted traffic and 1 sale. Well I am going to enjoy my one sale tonite before I start worrying about the traffic tomorrow! :D

Clickbank is not shaving commissions.

Clickbank is having major tracking Issues. I believe it is related to a new affiliate fraud detection software. I believe some id's are being kicked into a fraud status and commissions are being blocked. This would explain why changing to a new id works. I have also changed id's and have witnessed sales coming in immediately. However, it only lasts so long.

I have a blackhat idea to insure proper credit for sales. If anyone with a little technical knowledge is interested let me know and I'll share it with you.

Any new info on this? I recently re-started doing aff. marketing with CB and then saw this thread. If something screwy is going on, please pass along the info. Thanks!

Sorry I haven't been back to this thread for a while. But your are wrong Clickbank is stealing commission and they are doing it on an extreme level.

My cousin hired a private investigator, and has also been passing info onto the feds about his commission lost. If you believe that it is just a tracking error your a fool. Oh and to update everyone about my sales. I decided to go with Plimus and paydot I simply changed all my links and with no extra promotion or traffic my sales instantly doubled.

I was told they are doing the shaving based on letters of the first and last names, and also by the country of the customer.

I assume that you are talking about using clickbank as an affiliate, not a publisher. If so, then perhaps it is the publisher who is hijacking your sales, not cb.

I don't see how clickbank could shave from the publisher. If you are a pblisher...wouldn't you be able to tell easily??? Clickbank does not host the thank-you/download pages...so if they are making sales without giving credit, the publisher would be able to see the downloads happening.

No, i'm talking about as an affiliate. The worse I seen them take from me was 1 sale in 4,500 hops. The same site and the same traffic through plimus is converting a sale in 100 to 150 hops. The pay for a sale is about $5 less then a CB sale but man I rolling in the dough since I dropped CB. Well I'm still promoting some things through them since I have yet to find a good replacement for some of the other products else where.

At first I did think it was the publisher that was doing the shaving, but I started promoting other niches and the same thing started happening. All and all I'm happy now...

Well...if you are making that many sales for the publisher, you could always contact them and ask to put your analytics code on the thank you page, or something like that to help you track. This should help you prove if there is any shaving going on. They may not agree though.

If you need a replacement product, you could always PM me...maybe I can create a product for you to promote. :)
