Clickbank redirect

Ok I'm new to clickbank and I picked a niche and bought a godaddy.com for it. I found it gave a product page to link to so I just redirected the site there. What should I do now just promote? Do I need to go a certain way about it? I see people talking about back linking but is this done when you redirect? Please help.
