I'm interested in getting into Clickbank but am confused on a few things.

I want to go down the MNS route but really am not sure of the layout that should be used. For example, say I'm looking to build a 5-10 page site for a weight loss product I want to promote, targeting 5-10 keywords.

    Keywords

I assume one of the keywords will be Product X Review or Product X - Is it a Scam? etc. However, what about the other keywords. So if I want to promote a weight loss product, would I also target keywords like lose weight fast, best way to lose weight etc. write an article on the subject and then link to my review at the bottom of the page, or should I do something else?

Do you tend to target <500 searches a month kws or higher?

    Domain Name

It would be great to use an aged domain, but I realize it would be quite hard and costly to find a suitable domain if I'm building lots of MNS. Do you guys just use a brandable domain or something more targeted like howtoloseweightfast(dot)com, or even the name of the product as your domain? How about that pesky sandbox, are MNS clickbank sites more immune to it, in your experience?

    Theme/Layout

How about the layout? Do you have your review on the homepage? Do you even bother with a navigation bar, considering the site is just 5-10 pages.

Any theme recommendations? I'm thinking it's best to just use a clean theme.

Any help would be appreciated for a clickbank newbie like myself.

Keywords - Use google keywords or market samurai and find some easy to target, look for around 3k per month searches with low comp as these will be easier to rank. ProductX review wont get much traffic even ranked #1 but it is laser targeted so will be worth it, I usually optimize my review posts with keywords like these, and use more generic keywords such as lose weight fast in any blog posts.

Domain name - just use something memorable- make sure you buy a .com

Theme - There are tons you can use. You can use wordpress 2012 which does the job nicely - I do on one review site and it converts well.

The important thing here is to take action and not over-think things. Too many people on here plan and think and plan and think, and before they know it 6 months have passed and they still haven't even bought a domain name.

Yes, with Market Samurai, you can find keywords that low competition and easy to rank with many backlinks (not too much).

To improve your chances of CB conversions, it's better to build a site on closer to 15-20+ keywords than 5-10. That is, 15 or more content pages ranking one microniche keyword each. Unlike a CPA or adsense site, where a visitor basically only needs to perform an action based on one-click monetization (click an ad, click to fill out an offer), affiliate pay for sale sites involve multiple visitor clicks (to the affiliate landing page, then the order page).

So while ranking page 1 for 5 keywords with 1,000 esm each might yield 1,000 visitors/month to the MNS, and an average 2% CTR (20 clickthroughs) to an Adsense ad or CPA offer might be satisfactory conversion for those programs, that would amount to only 20 hops a month to a CB landing page per month. So working with 3-4 times as many keywords would be more helpful towards getting enough hop end conversions.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I've just started researching potential products and keywords; however, there is still one thing that is causing me some confusion. Do you build mini landing pages for each keyword or just normal blog posts and then link to the offer or your landing page/review of the offer? Or maybe it just depends?

For example, a keyword might be how to lose weight. So you could write a list of ways to lose weight and then either link to your review or directly to the vendor's landing page. Or you could just build a mini landing page with your story about how the clickbank product worked for you.

I'm thinking that how to lose weight is more of a buyer's kw so you could get away with a landing page promoting the product. The good thing about this also is how the product is already the centre of attention so there is no need for visitors to click through a couple of pages just to get to your review and then the vendor's page.

However, if your kw is something like top 5 foods to lose weight and the product you're promoting has nothing to do with food, then you would just write a generic article about the top 5 foods and link to your review at the bottom of the page.

Therefore, I'm thinking a combination of blog posts linking to your review and mini landing pages are best. However, then again, I definitely don't want to be wasting any traffic, as every visitor is a potential buyer.
