    BHW,
I'm just wondering if anyone out there is using landing pages for their ClickBank traffic before sending them to the CB offer landing page?
Trying to boost up my sales conversion percentage and purchase page clickthrough rate, and just wondering if anyone has had any positive experience in this.

    Let me know, many thanks!

Yes, and the sales get increased by at least 50%, if it is designed well.

Personally, I was making calculations. I am promoting one product both through direct linking and through a landing page.
CTR on direct linking is around 23%, while CTR on a landing page, all the way to vendor's sales page is around 8 - 9%.
Though conversion rate is definitely better with a landing page, it do not justify the loss of CTR by 2/3.

However, there are tons of variables here. Depends on the product, on the video, on the website and so on.

The landing page of an affiliate product varies in quality. Some are great, some are crappy. You may want to split test a site up into pages that directly link to the order page, and pages that link to the LP (or promote two different sites for the product) to see which arrangement produces more sales.

Has anyone ever tried using a landing page which takes the user directly to the shopping cart as opposed to sending them from the landing page over to the CB offer landing page?

You should. And you can make it much better - make sure you capture their emails (e.g. offer them a free 5-part mini course related to the product; you can use articles supplied by the product's vendor as I do for my affiliates. Use an autoresponder for this). You have a much higher chance of getting them to purchase the product PLUS you'll have a list of buyers for other products you want to pitch to them!

To be frank with you... I have been marketing using many different affiliate programs including click bank. The best results I have gotten from click bank products is from emailing offers to my opt in email list. I would NOT suggest sending Cold traffic to any click bank product landing page. The conversion rate is very low. Something like 200 to 300 clicks to get one sale.

My best advice would be to focus on driving traffic to a squeeze page related to the topic. You can easily create a "lead magnet" a special report (PDF) from grabbing articles about the topic that your potential email subscriber would be interested in... From article directory websites, webpages etc. You can create It yourself or outsource it. It doesn't have to be hundreds of pages. It can be under 50 pages. You can create your own e-book cover or outsource it on Fiverr.com for just 5 bucks.

The advantages is that you can send multiple offers to the people on your email list. Perhaps they don't like the first offer or product. It's not a lot of work to set up a autoresponder program. All you need to do is create one autoresponder email message that gives the email subscriber the link to download the e-book special report.

After that you can broadcast on a daily basis any affiliate program offer that you have. If one click bank product sells well you may want to consider rewriting their e-book and selling it yourself instead of giving them all the money and buyers. The real money is in the buyers list!! Just my $.02

My concern with using a landing page (I don't disagree at all, I just don't understand) is, say I make a killer landing page, the customer clicks through right.. but they then land on the CB landing page for that product, and most of them completely suck, and I feel that would discourage a sell.

Is there anyway around having them to be 'sold' on the product again? (considering most CB products use the outdated technique of rambling video and a long form sales page that you have to SCROLL all the way to the end of just to click the 'BUY' button.. Like direct linking to the checkout?

Those CB landing pages seem shitty to someone who is very familiar with the internet, but most people that would buy clickbank products (for the most part) are the type that would be easily sold by such an ugly ass landing page lol. Some of em convert like crazy with the right traffic.

Sounds like a bad idea to me. They have to be convinced that they want the product before they get there. It's just how the sales process goes.

If you want, you can send an email where you include BOTH the sales page and the order page, along with compelling copy. THen you can track the clicks on each link in your e-mail marketing service. Just a thought;.

It really depends on what niche are you trying to do this. I've tried follow up emails for the money making niche and had some success because people were willing to wait to get something and I also tried for the Health niche, and it simply didn't worked. People don't have patience, only if they really want to learn something (money making niche).
