Hi folks, just looking for some insight- I am new to CB, have had 62 hops in the past 30 days and 5 order form impressions but no sales.. Is that pretty standard? Obviously it depends on the product but just wondering if anyone can tell me a rough average conversion rate?

Also, i am promoting 2 products and both of them have the exact same hop count and order form impression count.. Seems strange?

Thanks

That's perfectly normal. I usually get a sale in every 30-40 impressions but that's because of my site structure and niche. For other niches, it is normal. Do not worry about the order form impressions. Some people just do it to check the price, some decide to not continue and some try to hack the form... Forget those impressions and count the sales only.

Ok, thanks, not much to count so far haha.

Cheers

Do not worry lol. Keep it like that. You might get a sale this month judging from my experience . Just one thing... Try attracting more people to your site. If you need a stable income from CB, you need 100 hops per day to say the least ... so work on the traffic instead of thinking about sales :)

Sounds about normal, but you really need to think about getting more traffic. Usually CB needs quite a lot to make good money. The figures can vary wildly depending on the product and your pre-sell.

Thanks guys, yeah i know i need more traffic. I am doing the old fashioned way, just ranking sites and videos.. I reckon i will hit the top spot with one site soon so fingers crossed. It's easy to get discouraged when you don't see any sales but if that's standard then i will keep at it. At least people are clicking on my links..

Cheers!

Strive on, keep doing whatever you're doing! I'm saying this for myself as well. I've yet to have my first sale from CB.

Cheers mate!

Asking for average conversion ratios is like asking how long a length of rope is. The answer : It depends.

Some affiliates can manage 1:3 conversion ratios with highly targeted email lists, others can go 1:10 000 because they don't pre-qualify or target their traffic.

So the real question you should be asking is : How can I bring in more traffic and refine my sales funnel?

Also, with such low numbers, ratios mean nothing.

With 60 hops, you could have made 2 sales giving you a 1:30 ratio, but if you're TRUE ratio is 1:500, well then you'd have to wait a long time before making another sale and wonder why your sales have stopped (this usually pushes people to start screaming about shaving and fraud).

So focus on whats important : refining your technique ;)

Thanks for the encouragement and advice y'all! I am certainly not stopping but it's good to put things into perspective..
The thing i struggle with is choosing a good product to promote. Hopefully the ones i have are going to do well but 90% of CB products just look so spammy i can't believe anyone would go near them!

There is something called gravity, and it works ;)

Put your brain now into the subject and innovate something unique...

I'm doing the same thing in CB but still I won't get sale from 1 month. I had 179 hopes per month & only 2 sales. I'm worried about it.

197hops per month is the problem. As I said before, bring in at-least 100hops per day.

No order form server calls...means no one tried to even purchase it by entering their credit card number. They clicked the back button.
I had 20 order form server calls, but still no sale :(

some decide to not continue and some try to hack the form

LOL, those visitors must be ultra noobs haha

You cant hack a form as payment is done through paypal. Also, its better to find the product itself on the cb product domain with some methods i shared some time ago. :)

Can be a shit product... i got 2,179 clicks and 0 sales with one product.
2,179 and 0 sale... on one product.

Check your vendor's sales page - does it have email opt-in form?

Nope. here is the link http://whiteningteethsecrets.com/?hop=0 dont promote this one lol

No email opt-in form is good, but $40 for info on how to whiten your teeth is mental. This sort of info could probably be gotten from a free article on the web - thus saving money for the buyer. As affiliates, we really have to think like a customer (naturally, they always want something for free, or for a bargain).

This is why I prefer to promote membership sites, software, actual products, etc, that can't be gained for free.
