Clickbank competing platform

As a software developer and casual Clickbank user, I feel Clickbank offers a poor user experience, and a competing platform could be built that provides greater profitability to vendors and affiliates.

The cons I see with Clickbank:
  • $50 product approval fee for vendors
  • 7.5% + $1 commission goes to Clickbank for each sale
  • inactivity penalty - Clickbank leaches money from your account every few weeks if there is no activity
  • payment every 2 weeks
  • SSN required for signup
  • ugly ads clutter the dashboard pages
  • outdated UI

I think a platform could be built that offers:
  • free product approval for vendors
  • 4.9% + $0.60 commission goes to owner of the platform for each sale
  • no inactivity penalty
  • payment every 2 days
  • no SSN for signups - reduce identity theft
  • no ads
  • modern UI and analytic tools

Would there be any interest in a platform that could offer this?

A problem you may encounter with such fast payments is refunds.

You may well have paid out to the vendor before the purchaser asks for a refund. For example in the UK, where I am from, we can get a refund on digital products up to 30 days after purchase.

I suspect it is why Clickbank charge $50 approval fee as well, to build up their reserves.

The only way to counter that is delay paying the vendors or have a huge pool of yours / vendors cash to offset it.
 
The 60 day refund policy is the problem I have with Clickbank because it can be abused to get free products which an eat in your profits as an affiliate.Didn't know about SSN is required for signup I live outside of the US.

Is the 30-60 day refund period required by some sort of law? As far as I can tell Clickbank offers it to keep customers happy. I'm wondering if I can somehow align the refund and vendor payout time windows to be more efficient.

Suppose the other extreme was used: no-refund policy. Would that be too harsh for customers to put up with? In that case, maybe it's the vendors that stand to benefit from abuse by selling fake products. There must be some kind of happy medium

Nice Proposal, Its better than the present ClickBank. Contact to the ClickBank Authority about that.
 
Your just undercutting clickbank, this is nothing new.

If it was so easy to do what you described we would see it happening by now.

Why not make a fouverr? everything $4

It takes a lot more then just a price change.

You're right. Which is why I also want input from people about how affiliate platforms like clickbank could be improved. Because I know it can.

I'm not saying it will be easy, but I'm a software developer so I know what I'm doing. I also have significantly less operating cost that a company like clickbank.

I don't believe people should settle for the incumbent platform. The market should always evolve.
