Clickbank banning multiple accounts

Just got the following email from Clickbank:

Dear ClickBank Client,

This message is being sent as a courtesy to inform you that the account "incomeent" will no longer be selling products through ClickBank as of Friday July 29th. Please discontinue all advertising campaigns and promotions for this account(s) effective immediately. Should you have any questions or concerns related to this update, please contact the ClickBank Client Support

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

ClickBank Operations Team

Also got the same email for nicknames "fmformula" and "fmtraffic"

Anyone else get this?

Looks like Clickbank may finally be stopping all the scammy, high complete/return products being sold through their system.

Thoughts?

What has this got to do with having multiple Clickbank acccounts? You are the vendor? Sorry I dont follow
 
interesting, think clickbank is trying to make themselves classier?
 
Interesting assumption........could be just your accounts. Can't say I have heard of others facing this situation.
Not good news for you I guess.
 
These aren't my accounts.

I'm guessing I received the email cause I sent a bit of traffic
to each of the vendors sites.

Just checked the Clickbank marketplace and ALL products have
been removed.

I received emails regarding each of the following vendor accounts:

incomeent (income entourage)
fmformula (my free money formula)
fmtraffic (free mass traffic)

Basically, it said that as of July 29th these vendors would no longer be
selling their products through Clickbank - which means they were banned.

I wonder what they did wrong and if this is just the start of cleaning up the marketplace?
 
I'm seeing all of them just fine. Haven't gotten any emails like that, either. I've sent a LOT of traffic to a lot of sites, and I work exclusively in the Internet Marketing/work-at-home niche.

You sure the headers and all from the email are good? Could this be a phishing attempt?
 
It's for real - emails sent from Clickbank.

I clicked on the link in the email and was taken to the Clickbank website - and I double checked the full url to make sure it wasn't a fake site.

And the products have definitely been removed from the marketplace.

Go and run a search for Income Entourage - it doesn't show.

It used to be on page 1 of the e-business and e-marketing section.
 
I just PMed Jamie on Facebook. I'm awaiting his response.

It's possible that he requested it be taken down as well.
 
This is simply CB cleaning house on phishing accounts. I've seen it across the board. It is NOT a crackdown on multiple accounts. It is a crackdown on sites getting too high refund/chargeback hits and complaints about the users involved.

Could be for countless reasons...mostlikely - too high refund rate.

Don't sweat it and keep business as usual. As a vendor, CB allows multiple accounts to promote through multiple niche market types.

I can't attest to the others, but I'd be highly surprised if incomeent was shut for high refunds. I made 64 sales on that offer, and I only had 6 refunds. That's pretty good as far as they go.

And though the tool wouldn't be useful to anyone here (who knows how to use the search function, anyway), it's not beyond being potentially helpful for newbies who don't have a board like this.

Jamie is the kind of guy who at least tries to make stuff helpful. Admittedly, I don't think he succeeds 100% of the time, but I can respect someone who makes an effort.

At this point, I'm willing to bet it's Jamie pulling the offer. I just went to the hoplink, which is still up (directs to an opt-in form). Normally, if it was for some kind of policy infraction, they kill the hoplink immediately and post something to the effect of "This vendor has been ... violation of terms ... etc."

Moreover, since Clickbank didn't even hint toward anything like that in the email, I'm betting it was a business decision that wasn't the result of any offense or problem with the account.

I wouldn't assert that as truth yet, but knowing Jamie, I doubt anything shady or crappy is the cause.
 
Sure, Jamie pulling the offer may be the reason behind it.

It's strange though that I also received the same email for
vendors "fmformula" and "fmtraffic" - which I know received
a lot of negative feedback.

This makes me think it's a quality issue - although the Income
Entourage did seem much better than the other 2.

Anyway, I sent Clickbank a couple of emails to get a
definite answer regarding this.

Will keep you posted.

It's weird how I seem to be the only person that received these
emails. I'm sure many other people promoted these products as they
were some of the top sellers in their time.

Also checked over at Warrior Forum - nothing.

That's not really completely accurate, or it's at least misleading statement by omission of additional facts. Actually ClickBank is just a big niche of EVERYTHING.

Since it's basically a platform for self-publishing there's going to be a wide range of quality sold through ClickBank. There's definitely a lot of scam products, but there's also a lot of low quality non-scam products, a lot of mediocre (but still useful) products, as well as a lot of very high quality products.

Anyone that just writes a product off as a scam or low quality simply because it's sold on ClickBank just doesn't really understand what ClickBank actually is. ClickBank is nothing more than a payment processor for self-publishing e-book products that creates a simple system to allow affiliates to profit by helping the producers sell their products.

There's definitely a LOT of high quality products for sale through ClickBank. It's up to the affiliates to decide if a product is good enough quality for them to promote. That's part of the research affiliates need to do since low quality products have a higher return rate. It's typically desirable for affiliates to find higher quality products to promote.

I have a product on there and it is not a scam and I have never had a refund ...only when I was late shipping... so it's not all scams.
Unfortunately it's all the scams that get the attention.

Got a reply from Clickbank.

Just as I thought - PRODUCT QUALITY...

Wonder if this is going to happen on a big scale?

Plimus shut IM products out completely.

This is gonna suck if they do the same.
 
High risk may have nothing to do with product quality, though. They're hardly synonymous.

I heard back from Jamie, who said they had a bunch of orders, and he couldn't handle any more customers (he actually runs support floors for his offers). As he's had so few refunds, and he's at capacity, it's just seeming like the perfect storm for a slew of refunds at once. Neither he, nor Clickbank, want to exacerbate that risk any further, which makes sense.

However, he was apparently asked, and not forced.

Interestingly, a customer who has befriended him on FB actually chimed in on how helpful he thought IE was.

These kinds of offers get MUCH worse reputations that many of them deserve. In fact, not a single one of them who is up for more than a week can apparently be labeled a scam, because if they could, the FTC would shut them down in an instant.

I totally agree with you on this one.

Sure, these kind of products come with super hype but it works - plain and simple. Selling is all about telling the potential customer EXACTLY what they want to hear. And in the case of selling money making products - the customer always wants to hear that it will cost them nothing to run and they don't need to build a website or any of that sort of thing.

If you were completely up front about what it actually takes to be successful with online marketing then you aren't going to make many sales.

Hype sells - plain and simple.

It's what you do with the information you receive that matters most.

I recall the first ebook I bought was commonly known as one of the biggest scams around... yet it introduced me to Clickbank and affiliate marketing on a whole - which has made me 6 figures a year since.
