Hi guys, there's all the issues about landing page relevance. I am still seeing some ads on Google that do not have a landing page of their own, but link directly to the merchant's sales page on clickbank.

How do they do that without being penalized by Google.I have tried some top level redirects but they were rejected by Google.

PS
some of the display URLs seem non-existent!

how you set the redirect, php or frame ?
have you tried the domain redirect ?

lil trick u can use to place ur affiliate links in there.. make your adwords ad. then when it ask for url. enter any url near the top results for the same term. for example. say we promote free dating. type this into google and look at the natural results.. grab any domain from the top ten. use this domain as ur display url.

now go into your campaign and edit your keywords. here you will see a box where you can enter a url for each keyword. nwo all you do is add your affiliate link there for each keyword.

then when your ad is shown. it will show the display url you got from google results. but when u click the ad. it will take you to your affiliate link. :)

try it and see

Hey Dan,

Thats cool lil tweak :-)

Love to try this asap. Meanwhile, can you share more tips on adwords?

Thanks.

What about the Destination URL for the ad? Don't you need to put something for that?

Also, according to AdWords policies, the page a user ends up on is supposed to be on the same domain that is shown as the Display URL. Your method would seem to violate this policy. Or am I missing something?

Very interesting point how ever if we just worked a little bit more and added
some relevant content for the quality score with the keywords we working on
then we can do all the direct link we want and Big G will ve No Problem.

You can use a simple html redirect:

<meta HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" content="0; url=http://www.yourdomain.com/index.html">

This should work fine. I think adding unique urls won't work for the long run. google aren't stupid.

BTW - Why would you promote CB products with adwords? Its very expensive and the chances you will reach people in buying mode are so low.. that it's not worth it.

Atleast my opinion.
