clickable link inside the video?

annotations - clicable to a site outside youtube?

But you still can't make clickable links in annotations.
I've seen people do that?
Like.
In their video, make a text saying "Click Here". Then they made a squared annotation around the text, and then it was clickable :).

Hope you get this solved.
Regards!

hmmm I wonder exactly how they did this because youtube alone does not allow you to make annotations clickable to a not youtube URL

they only allow annotations to be clicked if they are linked to another youtube URL

you can't actually do that on youtube itself. you can use annotations to create links, but as already mentioned those can only link to other urls also on youtube.

You can do it though if you're embedding your youtube videos on other webpages.
Just go to linkedtube, com and follow the instructions. It will give you an embed code that includes not just the youtube video but also has clickable links to your website on top of the video player.

This isn't a full solution since it doesn't work for videos actually viewed on youtube, but it can be a big help if your embedding the videos on other websites.

There's another trick that was posted on bhw a few years ago taking advantage of YouTube's Promote program.

Basically you just need to set up a YT promote campaign for you're video. The promote program is similar to any other ppc program in that you set up a campaign and then pay for any clicks you get. The advantage of the promote program is you get to place a clickable link on your video to ANY url, and while the video is being promoted it will also be shown in searches based on your keywords.

What you do is sign into your youtube account. Go to your videos, click the dropdown next to edit video and select promote. Then just follow the instructions to set up a campaign.

But now here is the trick: You could take advantage of this is by setting up a promote campaign for your video and setting the daily budget to $.01 and the max cost per click to $.01. Then your video gets included with the YT promoted videos until you get one click to the link. When that happens your daily budget is exhausted and the video is removed from the promoted videos for the rest of the day. But here's the best part - even though your video is removed from the YT promoted videos, it's still shows up in the regular video results and the clickable link remains on the video. Remember this can be a link to ANY url, including affiliate links.

Basically since you have a daily limit of $.01 set then your daily cost will only be $.01 but the clickable link will be active on your video the rest of the day anyway.

You'll just have to try this yourself to see if it still works.

toss /redirect?q=<url> at the end of youtube com. it'll send them to a landing page saying they are leaving youtube, and will have to click to continue, but it beats nothing. i haven't a clue if this actually works, but it's worth a shot.

I don't think that will work. I'm sure youtube has this angle covered to limit us black hatters. But yea, it is worth trying, it can't hurt to try.

Annotations with Outside URLs DO work but only for Non Profit Youtube Partners

Us, normal users, or even the other partners can't do it...

And if you manage to make a outside link in another way post here please

Its getting worse every day since they covered the fukin description and now we cant even see the 1st description link
