Clickable Link In Bio - Major Change?

So before I updated my iphone any url in the web field of the bio (e.g: instagram.com/main) would directly go to that IG account in app. (Just like when you click @Main in a comment or caption)

NOW any link in bio goes into the instagram built in web browser which will show you the instagram account but as you're on their web browser you're not even logged in! There is an "open in app" button but it doesnt redirect you back to the app (which you're in already!) but takes you to the app store. : /

Can people confirm if this is/isn't happening to them too please?

This seriously effects cross account promotion via the bio link...
