Don't worry, its not what it looks like - hence it being posted in the lounge...

I was reading up a while back about cookies (since I'm not too informed on the topic) and came across a bit that said that flash cookies aren't necessarily cleared when you delete cookies/cache in internet options in IE for example. Does CCleaner clear all cookies, including those not-so-easy to remove flash cookies I read about?

    What about FF?

Not sure about CCleaner, but I use Better Privacy w/ FF to clear flash (LSO) cookies and it works great.

    Code:

Maybe this is why CL spammers are having issues with ghosting? (dun, dun dun dun, da!!!)

Not the reason I asked though, just came to mind...

I'm more concerned with people stealing my personal information via flash cookies that aren't being cleared

I was just reading about this yesterday in an ebook and was wondering how to do this easily.....and of course there is a plugin for it. Thanks SPB7878 for the share.

Not to Hijack the thread, but when using something like ********** or Friendadder, will I need to use something else besides a FF plugin?

I just purged the list and logged into several FB accounts to test it, no flash cookies detected so looks like they don't track with them. I believe ********** will clear your regular cookies when switching between accounts, but I'd check with the developer to be sure. ;)

Once cleared make sure you adjust your macromedia flash settings to 0kb stored on local computer that way flash cookies wont be automatically injected!
