Cleansing Anchors

Hey all,

What is the best way to cleanse/dilute my anchors? Just bought a site that is over heavy in terms of keyword focused anchor text.

Looking for a good strategy to balance this out with more branded, naked, noText and generic anchor text.

You can buy a diversity package from the marketplace, however, make sure you do your due diligence.

so in essence, you want your no follow links 40% and your do follows links 60%...

can not be that hard to find out what your current diversity is, and sort it out via using simple maths then add links of correct follow to get grate results....

the only way to get rid of a link that take long time is google disavow

Disavow toxic anchored links and build up branded/naked/generic anchors.

Disavowing is pretty straightforward, just submit all dangerous anchored links to your GSC.

Building up more links strategy may vary.

We have two criterions for building branded links: they should be inexpensive (because we need a lot of them) and they should be with easy-to-manipulate anchor.

Forum links and web2.0s are the best fitting links that pop up in mind first of all.

But also it would be great to build a sitewide link that would either have a branded anchor or would be an image link with a brand in title.
That's a prompt possibility to get 1000-10000 branded links at once and restore the status quo in your anchor distribution.

Also pay attention that building just non-anchored links you risk to drop in rankings. I recommend you keep building anchored links (at least 10% of all new links).

Question was about anchored links...but ok

If we look at high calibre websites like adobe - we'll see that 90% of links are ********.

I believe, that it's a handy generic reference point.

But to be more specific you should check out your competitors in top 10 and aim to have a somehow similar ********/nofollow ratio.

I didn't say that. What do you mean by "value"? Anchored links push both rankings and risks - that's a common knowledge.
