It's worth trying to disavow. I know, I know.... Google is smart enough to categorize links on its own. But are they really? REALLY?
Anyway, you have nothing to lose if your site got decimated by HCU anyway.
Just identify the crap.
SEMrush and Ahrefs get you most of the shit. LinkResearchTools is good too, but expensive
Look specifically for:
Once links are disavowed, wait a bit and then get Google to re-crawl these spammy shitty URLs. Skip indexers, they don't work. Instead spam your spam with links. Yup, that's right, build links to these spammy URLs. You want to get Google to revisit those shitty pages and re-crawl them.
Try it, you have nothing to lose.

- Links targeting your images, often misused by scraper sites.
- Links from "web.app" and ".best" domains.
- Spammy links from any .blogspot domains.
- Links from URLs ending in "-k.html".
- Links from domains with zero real organic traffic that you dont recognize (i.e. not your PBNs or 301s)
