For the past few weeks I have used a bunch of different AI models for coding and several other tasks, but mostly for coding and developing.

DeepSeek R1, GPT o1, Claude 3.5 Sonnet and also Grok (since a few days Grok 3).

But today Claude released 3.7 Sonnet and what can I say? Its a completely different level than the other ones mentioned above. For normal users, you won't see any difference, but for coding and development, this is one is just wow.

Even before that I found that Claude 3.5 was way better when it came to coding and debugging than DeepSeek, GPT and Grok. Now since they released the new model, it became even better.

So if you are using AI for coding like I do, definitely give the new 3.7 version a try

Thanks for sharing. Gonna try it out, since you're not the first one praising it.

This is amusing to the ears
Atleast those without coding experience can still get few lines of codes done easily

Just tried Claude for creating pine scripts for tradingview and OMG! it is so non faulty most of the time. Chat GPT codes were giving me trouble all throughout yesterday evening. :D

im just overwhelmed by these releases and keep making accounts on each platforms just to test things out

It seems like Anthropic is doubling down on coding.

While I don't believe LLMs can ever replace humans and this approach is futile, I do believe they make fantastic assistants when guided properly and will make dev teams much more productive.

cool, will test it, I felt like deepseek was doing a better job than chatgpt in some things if cloude is doing better I know here I will move.

Does this mean that we were overly worried about SEO being destroyed? Perhaps SEO can survive for a long time and won’t be completely eliminated in the next 5–10 years. This gives us the opportunity to plan for the next 3–5 years.

Although ChatGPT or AI Overviews may take away a significant amount of traffic, AI still struggles to replace skilled programmers and SEO writers. At least for now, LLMs are not capable of doing that, and the issue of hallucinations remains difficult to solve.

While AI has already exhausted all available training data on Earth and is now considering training AI models on AI-generated content, humans are still essential for verifying accurate information and creating entirely new content that has never existed before.

What do you think?

AI is a bubble.

I used to be a believer and thought we were heading for an ASI.

I don't believe that now because I have a much deeper understanding of how they work and can see that I was wrong.

There is really no such thing as "artificial intelligence". It's machine learning.

LLMs are flawed in so many ways.

They are frozen black boxes. They are trained only on text and they use gradient descent to predict what comes next based on what they've seen.

In no world is this intelligence. They only simulate intelligent language with math.

They have no understanding of what they're doing. They're not conscious.

The human eye alone processes 10 million bits per second.

That's 315,360,000,000,000 bits by age 12.

315 trillion bits.

And that's just the eyes.

You also have touch, hearing, smell and taste.

touch gives us full interaction with the world and combines with the other senses so you have a 1+1+1 = 5

You touch, see, hear, smell, taste and manipulate.

This is why babies/toddlers put everything in their mouth. It's part of the pre-training. :-)

On top of that, the human brain has memory.

It never stops learning.

It's LIVE, not frozen.

And we are CONSCIOUS. We are aware. We can observe our thoughts and change them.

Consciousness is not some simulated emergent property of the brain. Your consciousness/awareness comes from somewhere beyond the brain. It's likely consciousness is the inherent property of all existence and the rest emerges from it.

The whole "we're close to AGI" is hype. ASI is laughable. Absolutely laughable :-)

LLMs are machine learning. They are prediction machines.

Even the code they produce will miss so much. With the right guidance it's useful and you can generate a lot of good code if you use them a certain way. Ie, not trying to one-shot an application, but having it build piece by piece and you, as a human, guiding it and making it aware of "gotchyas"

They can certainly be fine-tuned and improved to find some bugs and help with debugging, but it'll never be a general intelligence like a human. It can only be trained on past data in order to predict similar things in future data. This is NOT what we do. We are alive and aware and we observe and change thoughts based on those thoughts and the observable world.

SEO is the same. AI is not going to takeover. AI content can be good, but it can't add anything new. It's only consolidating and refactoring existing information.

You'll see over the coming year or so things will start to cool down as more and more investors realize we're in a bubble.

Each new model release is flat.

There's really not that much of a difference between gpt 3.5 and o1 pro. It's all hype and "benchmarks".

Most of the differences you see are just with reinforcement learning to produce more useful answers for humans.

o1 pro and reasoning models improved because they are "multi-pass" with thinking tokens. That makes them better at coding.

But all that's happening now is cost is going way up in order to get slight improves through more thinking tokens.

o3 is likely very good, but it's just computation. It doesn't reason. It can't reason. It can only statistically predict a correct answer by statistically predicting thinking tokens, which help it to predict a final answer.

Thank you for your answer, it has given me even more confidence. I have to say that LLM has been a huge help in assisting with on-page optimization. Of course, manual proofreading is still necessary, but compared to the past, it has saved a tremendous amount of time.

I would definitely not rely on it for anything in SEO.

It has NO clue about SEO. It just hallucinates confidence based on all the crap it's read.

It's got no actual experience or the ability to discern between what works and what doesn't.

It's just "read" every article there is on SEO.

Read my guides and learn how to do on-page SEO for yourself. It requires a human with discernment.

The problem is not that LLMs are inherently useless.

General LLMs like chatgpt are good for answering questions, but for actual jobs/tasks that require experience they just hallucinate. If you're an expert, you'll be like "wtf is this crap it's telling me to do", but the people using it are not experts, so they just blindly accept its answers.

You can use LLMs for SEO, but you need to, as an expert, fine-tune it on a downstream task where you create the training data. You cannot rely on it to "You are an experienced SEO expert. Please blah blah". It is not an experienced SEO expert. It'll just hallucinate some crap to generate a 'story'.

Understood. I use it to supplement keywords for on-page optimization. The optimization tool suggests which keywords should be included, and I currently use GPT o3 to add them. I review the output to check whether the placement of the added keywords is reasonable. I'm not sure if this approach is incorrect.

I have read your entire guide, but I’m still unsure how to fine-tune the process to make my workflow more efficient. I'm trying to see if I can streamline it and use programming for semi-automation; otherwise, manually optimizing 5 to 10 articles per day is my limit.

You previously advised against publishing more than 10 articles per day. Does this also apply to non-English markets? Thank you.
