Classified Ad sites

Are there any classified ad sites that even comes close to Craigslist in terms of traffic? Backpage? Kijijiji? Oodle? etc.

There are some city specific classifieds sites that get more traffic than CL. My city has a classifieds site that makes CL basically dead.

How you post ads on craigslist? Manually?
Which software would you recommend?
 
Gumtree is the most popular in the UK.
 
I think more importantly -- Consider opportunities outside the US. There are a lot of large (albeit not as large as cl) in many other English speaking countries. If you can speak another language - Spanish is a good one, even less competition in that arena...just me two cents.
