Hello!

I used method song + distribution to test if ads would appear in videos. Video got claimed immediately and that's good. When I checked Copyright summary and status it says: " Ads may appear next to your uploaded video even if you haven't monetised the videos yourself". But still there are no ads. Are there some requirements that video need to achieve ( like 10k views) so it would start showing ads? It seems that this method is for channels that are in YPP. So if your video is claimed by some rights holder, you can use this method to get 50% of the revenue. If you are not into YPP there is no distribution that could help you, ads won't appear.

You need to contact youtube the rules you pointed out is youtube rules every service different rules.

if someone has illegally played your video content you entitle to 50% revenue if earnt from your video.

the earnt money will be calculated from the adsence fees.

but only youtube can calculate what you get in cash.

the person using your video will get ban or frozen account.

your be asked to prove your Copywrite info for the video.

once you made a cliam then the ball start rolling .

Which network are you using to copyright your songs?
I used routenote but when I upload video on youtube it didn't receive any copyright.

There are no ads. No ads = no revenue = no revenue split between rights holders

how long since it got claimed ?
maybe it just take more time for Ditto music to active monetization on fresh claimed videos.

Hey Cyberars

That was just test, got claimed instantaneously ( auto - detected). Maybe thay need more time to activate monetization, but thay delivered song into Content ID so I thought that ads would appear automatically.

as far as i know, the detection is auto, but they might setup manual review before enabling the monetzation on claimed videos. so i suggest to wait for it

This is their reply on my question

We only handle Content ID services. For the ads, I believe you will be able to manage it with your Google Ad Manager. Know more about it here.

Sorry for the confusion. OSR means Original Sound Recording. Content ID collects original sound recording royalties that find matches of the audio on YouTube videos.

It doesn't make any sense. So the video can get 10 million views and no ads will appear because the channel is not in the YPP? Besides, channels always get demonetized because 3rd party content. damned if i do damned if i don't.

This is a method for channels that are not into YPP. It doesn't matter how many views you get on a video, if you are not part of YPP (monetized channel) you are not able to earn revenue from ads.

As I see from conversation with them, I feel like thay are not able to activate monetization on claimed videos. What is sure thing, my song is into Content ID and my song is easy to detect. And I know that Youtube said for channels that are not into YPP might see ads on their videos if rights owner choose to put ads on video. I am right owner and I don't know how to put ads on claimed video. Maybe I chose a wrong distribution.

use amuse for music distribution, if you or any other channel upload a video using that music even a short part of the original music, it will be claimed by muse on your behalf and ads would start on it,
those channels don't need to be connected to the YPP

the content owner can claim the video on his content ID dashboard and later he can decide if to monetize it or not

Hey mate I claim my own videos and have since start of the year. I did mine with orfium. If you are logged in as yourself you won't see ads on your own videos. Have you tried incognito or on another device without being logged in? There is no threshold for views to have ads as I had a video with 100 views that I made money off of. It may also depend on your country and such.

I tested with vpn and surprisingly there is one ad

This is good, but what about skippable and non skippable ads, and one ad at the end of video.
But anyway, thank you for the info!

Here is the link of the test video:

I see ads too. So the method works? The channel is not in the YPP? It takes like 24 hours before ads start appear?

Have you ever received payments from Ditto music? It seems they are scam.

Orfium is actually new, are advertising their service or what?

The site has bad seo too lol

I am not in YPP, method seems to work but I only see alongside type of ads. So revenue would be lower compared to skippable and non skippable ads. When I uploaded video and used vpn there were not ads, tomorrow I did that again and I saw one ad, so I assume that thay need some time to run ads on video.
