Claiming their Expired Twitter Account?

Recently I've got some Expired Twitter Accounts having lots of links and PA stuff... those accounts were of big sites before but now I possess them...

Those Accounts have words like 'ESPN','BBC','Huff' into their usernames...

So Is it possible that those sites later claim those accounts? Anything similar happened to any of you? Share your reviews I don't wanna get my efforts wasted
