I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I'm getting pretty sick of paying taxes.

I've got thousands sitting in a separate bank account just waiting to disappear to the tax man in a few weeks time :angryfire:

What I'm thinking as a way to claim virtually every high priced item I purchase / good meals I eat out on expenses is.... setup a "dans reviews" site.

Every item/meal I want to claim, I just put up a quick 100-200 review to the site, possibly along with a picture. I then tell the tax man the item was a business investment to allow to me add more genuine content to the site.

My accountant isn't sure on this, but he's still not entirely sure what internet marketing is / how I make my money.

    Would this work?

Anyone else got IM related ideas to claiming things as expenses?

Can you not claim it as food for staff or taking a client out?

interesting idea.... at the end of the day it wouldn't be hard for an IRS auditor to see that you clearly are buying the items for personal enjoyment and not *just* for the purpose of reviewing/business related. At the end of the day it will boil down to an auditors personal opinion, since its really a subjective call isn't it
