Hi.

I have a successful video site and would like a Youtube url that match the domain name.

Let's say my site is somedomian.com then I would like to own youtube/user/somedomian

The problem is that someone else have already claimed youtube/user/somedomian

But!

The channel only has my videos in it. So he has uploaded my original videos without any rights.

He is clearly violating the Terms and Copy rights.

But is there anything I can do about it? And is there any way I can claim the account, so my domain and Youtube url match?

I don't want the account deleted or the videos taken down. I want to take over control with the account.

Thanks.

The best way is to just email Youtube / Google.
Unless you are part of a YouTube Network CMS and have a manager and all that (like me).. because if that's the occasion
then just contact your network manager and they should fix that within 12 hours.

Else, just mail YouTube about a copyright complaint.

Good luck!

Yeah, you should be able to do something about that. If you contact YouTube they should be able to answer all that. Do you have proof of video/domain ownership etc?

taking over is impossible. you can strike that guy so all the videos and the channel gets deleted. but even then that username wont be availabe.
