CJ.com (Commission Junction) is being unfair to me.

Hi,

I got suspended because I was using iframes on my website to drop cookies. But then I removed all the iframes, but they say they are not interested in reactivating my account. I have put in alot of work to get traffic, I feel like they are just being unfair to me. I'm getting appx. 3 visitors everyday now from search engines and it's all going to waste.

Here is an email i sent them -

I've been trying to contact you for 2+ weeks now but still haven't got a reply. I sent the email from - [email protected], not sure if it reached you or ended in junk folder.

My account was suspended because I use iframes on my website, but now I have removed them already.

Below is the last email I sent to you:

"I have already removed all the iframes from both my websites and therefore I'm no longer breaking any of the TOS of cj.com, can you please reactivate my account please. I'm getting about 3 visitors everyday and that would mean about $1/day which I should be earning. I have put in alot of effort to upload over xxx videos to youtube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVC390EpFf-r3hJlJGCbetg and that took me more than 2 months to complete. I have also call in to support and left a voice mail. I no longer have iframes on my sites - domain1.com.com and domain2.com (old site which rarely gets any traffic), if you want me to fix anything else, please let me know. Please reply and please reactivate. I hope you find and read this email. Thank you very much. Please reply."

Are they doing right? since I already removed all the iframes. But just don't like working with me, but I have put in alot of work.

Can anyone help me what I should do? I know I can always move on to other network, but I pity my work and effort that are being wasted.

You made a mistake, glad that you admit it.

Since they are not interested in activating your account, Its time to move on!

Use some other Affiliate.

IM is a game that gets abused A LOT. Affiliate networks, ad networks, agencies, etc. often times have a zero second chances policy, A.K.A, you will be perma-banned after just one mistake because they would rather lose you than risk the chance that you are someone trying to abuse their system.

Realistically your only options are to move on, or trying opening an account under a different identity, which is probably more trouble than its worth. That's just the way things are when conducting business behind a screen with someone who is on the other side of the world

Thanks, that's a good idea, I will open cj account under my mom's name and replace all the affiliate links.

Okay, be careful though. Make sure to cover your tracks well and not break their rules again. Probably best to use your moms details for payment info as well.

I also lost a few thousand dollars because of my silly errors. Be very careful now.

Now CJ has a Network Quality team for review the first payment, very difficult, if all your sales from natural traffic, it's great for you, the first payment will be made.

It not, you must tell them about your traffic driving method. The first payment can be penđing on the next month

Buy a paid account then work with it, when your balance locked, the payment will be paid automatically.

Dropping cookies on MY site doesn't mean I"m stealing AT ALL. Other affiliate networks have no problem with iframing as I have ask them.

They had problem with iframing, I have remove the iframes, so they should reactivate my account, but I understand they want to reduce their risk and this is how they work, I understand why they won't reactivate my account, else the CJ is completely wrong here in this case if they were nearby, I would go to their office and have a chat.

Holy shit, I haven't heard anyone mention Commission Junction for at least the last 5 years.

Sorry to say but you might be, if you believe that "3 visitors everyday" mean ANYTHING on the affiliate game. You lost nothing with the CJ ban cus you had nothing best of luck for the future either way!

Another term for dropping cookies is "stuffing". It sounds harmless, but you're taking credit for clicks/sales that you weren't responsible for delivering.

I don't think it was intentional on your end, but affiliate networks need to protect their advertisers and themselves. They caught your hand in the cookie jar (pun intended), and decided to terminate the relationship. Rightfully so.

Do some research on stuffing. Some noteable IMers got caught doing this with Ebay and ended up doing serious jail time. I'd stay away from this "strategy" and focus on long term growth.

The owner of digital point was stuffing cookies on the ebay listings, so he was basically stealing, while me? I create a high quality long videos and upload to youtube promoting the merchants, totally different case. Anyhow, I have move on.

He was stuffing on his own sites, I believe on DP as well. It's a different method of stuffing, but overall it accomplishes the same goal. Like I said, I don't think you meant to break the rules, but once you get more experience with IM, you'll understand why this actually takes money away from advertisers instead of helping them.

Just take it as a lesson for the future. Plenty of us have been in the same situation. In my early days of IM I got kicked from adsense early for clicking on my own ads. You live and learn.
