I am currently being "investigated" by them, for the 2nd time in a month. Basically for this one advertiser i sent junk traffic to it, about a steady 100-200 hits per day, and had a couple of sales per day. Small sales, nothing big at all.

They mentioned the IP that the traffic was coming from. What should i say? That i paid for targeted traffic to be sent to the domain?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Tell them you are buying traffic from adbrite and redirecting it to your domain.

Please let us now how they reacted, because I just started a project with the same methods like you and I would like to be prepared when they start investigating.

Yup im on same page now, let us know. Ialso think saying that you have traffic of ppc is fine

I think you should say that your sources of traffic remain confidential due to the fact that this is where the money is. Tell them it is ppc driven, through a network of blogs or something and that is how they came to you. In reality it is none of their biz but if you want to stay in biz with them then you have to be cool about it and not get up their noses too much. if they get too tough you can always ask them if their opposition would like the traffic instead (any trafffic's good traffic - in the business world the more people aware of your product the better)

Well looks like your advertiser is a dick, it is not against TOS to buy targeted traffic, isn't that what all people do?
Seems to me you need to get new advertisers. Paying for traffic is not illegal and it is just there way of stiffing you. What pricks.

I've had 2 of my accounts investigated before. I was sending BH traffic. I don't think it was the quality of the traffic that tipped them off since it was decent. They were very unprofessional and rude but I was nice told them I would clean up my traffic (which I did) and everything has been fine ever since.

You can either tell them you're just sending PPC traffic or be honest and tell them you'll clean up your traffic (if that's what you intend on doing).
