Hey folks,

A question for those that are into networks, CCNA, CCNP etc. (CISCO). Is there any relevance of IM with any of that?

For instance, programming can immensely help in IM projects, but how can CISCO and its surroundings help with IM... any thoughts?

Thanks,

SHM

Bump...

Unless you are marketing networking services/equipment then it probably won't help you in IM.
Those are technical networking qualifications.

I done the mcse then cisco exams

And also use the cram books .

It will help if you are setting up a proper internet service in level 3 over wise forget it.

Learn Python programming to make bots, good money in that ....

Got to admit it ,all my networking was a waste of time , you end up as a printer admin for 2 years lol, waste of time , you never get near any real cisco routers ever , unless admin let you , very hard getting a good network job even if your good at it , not just theory, the pain i went thru learning ip addressing my god never agin....

When i think of the windows 2000 books in networking i seriously get depressed, waste of time and then every year do more exams to keep up ....no way forget it microsoft..

Computer repairs was fun .

CCNA & CCENT are good for professions in the IT industry like Technical Support, Admin, Consulting and Analyst Positions around Networking & Security, but hasn't anything to do with IM necessarily. However, if you do the exam, build up knowledge make your own "cheat sheet" to pass the exam or series of videos and use IM to sell it.
