Churn and burn, how it works?

I was reading guides for adwords when I encountered an article about churn and burn sites. It was for adwords but I believe it is also used when doing SEO.

It basically said you need 3 websites, one money site (site C) and two sites you don't care about (A and B). You do black hat stuff on site A and redirect traffic to site B, site B traffic is then redirected to your money site.
As I understood it, it would allow you to do black hat stuff on site A without tainting your money site since it was not connected to the black hat site, no links or redirects, however you would still get the traffic to it.
If google is so smart and scans the bad site (A) for all redirection or links connected to it, wouldn't google be able to see that also the money site (C) is connected? A -> B -> C?

You don't connect the site only after your campaign is approved. And yes these types of accounts don't last long.

Yes I know, since its black hat they will be closed as soon as they find out. But the thing I found strange is that this setup is supposed to protect your money site. Even if you connect the site after the campaign is approved it doesn't make sense. Why wouldn't google just run a bot (after you have connected the sites) and collect all the 2nd, 3rd... redirects and links?
