This came up in my Facebook feed about an hour ago; now it came up because one of my female Facebook friends had liked it. I actually know this chick as a 'real' friend, who I have known in person for years.

I saw that she had liked this and did a very quick search to see what the scam was. Nothing came up, so I checked her friends list to see if the link had effected her and sure enough, she has gone from 126 friends yesterday, to over 1,000 today.

Seeing this, I thought I'd follow the instructions and see whether it would have the same effect on my profile.

Result, no change, now she liked this 11 hours ago, so it is possible that facebook has altered whatever hole it had, but the interesting thing is this guy has got 97,246 subscribers to his account.

For all you facebook people out there, any idea on what he was doing?

Not sure if I can post the link to his account, but will try, so you can check it yourself, hey, it may even be someone here, if so, well done, I thought it was a bloody brilliant way of gaining massive followers very quickly.

Yeah, but I know this chick got 1,000 followers from it today. Whatever he was doing seems to have been patched now, but he has still got 97,542 subscribers now, so they haven't banned his account yet.

I can understand that bit perfectly, the bit I am unsure of is how my friend, who is not BH or tech savvy by any means (think blonde barbie and you'll get the picture) got 1,000 friends from this. Just to clarify, she does not know Chris Robinson, nor has been associated with, conned by him, other then to follow the instructions, yet she has got the friends added to her list.

It's not a scam...just people are stupid to think they're going to get 100's of adds from just subscribing to him. There are so many people who do this now. I have a friend who has 223k subscribers. And by liking, then unliking & liking again it loads it to the top of everyone's feed to all their friends so he gets more subs. It's simple, I don't understand why people make a huge deal about this. There are tons of people who do this. They share eachothers pages to get more subs. Simple.

He is not the only one, known some other guys which boost their subscriber count on the same way

if "There are tons of people who do this" it's time to do something

facebook protect your sheeps

Alot of people are doing this. Some get deleted for spam and some dont. Just like everything else on the internet. Trust me, I know because they hit me up because I have 20k without doing all the fake friends bullshit. Be self made, not like this clowns.

Gah, u know what, I've seen this fucker too, some black guy, right? Lol
