Choosing Worthwhile Backlinks

how do you decide which backlinks are actually worth paying for?
I look at relevance, traffic quality, placement, and whether the site has a real audience before paying for a backlink. Metrics alone don’t justify the price for me; I want to know if the link can provide lasting SEO value rather than just another number in a report.

All the usual metric checks really. If you want to go one further - look at what the top ranking guys in your niche have going on under the link hood!

Look at their top placements, do the usual metric checks obviously.. however be on the look out for placements that are hard to acquire - that’s their edge.

To get an edge over their edge then those are the type of links you want and that are worthwhile putting in the effort to secure.

traffic trend first, if the site is losing organic visitors the link is a depreciating asset regardless of metrics. then topical relevance to your niche.

I look beyond DR or DA alone. Check with their relevanciness, real traffic, indexing , link profile and outbound links matter more. high DA alone isn't enough to justify paying for links.

I look at relevance the linking sites real organic traffic, authority, placement, and whether the link fits naturally within the content, I'd rather pay for fewer relevant links than a large number of low quality ones

I usually check relevance, organic traffic, content quality, and the site is overall backlink profile. I would much rather invest in one solid, relevant link than waste money on a bunch of cheap links from random sites.
