Choosing Wallets

If you’re holding a significant amount I’d advice going with a cold/hardware wallet like Trezor, they’re well known and are opensource.

For smaller amounts a hot wallet or exchange should be fine.

How can you choose between exchange wallets, software, and hardware. Do you have any experience based advice?
Well, I would always suggest using a hardware wallet. If you want a digital one, I would recommend Trust Wallet, but I would not advise keeping all your crypto in a single wallet

Yes, I agree - a hardware wallet is always the better option, but some people simply want to hold like $100< in crypto to make a couple of purchases and buying a hardware wallet for those amounts might not be a viable option.

But generally I do agree that hardware/cold wallets are the way to go if you want to be in full control.

Trustwallet, Exodus, Metamask, all hot-wallets that are very popular and easy to use. Like suggested above I’d also advise researching cold wallets if you’re really serious about holding larger amounts.

Exchange wallets are for trading, software wallets (like MetaMask) are for active use, and hardware wallets (Ledger/Trezor) are for long-term storage. My rule: never hold significant assets on an exchange. Use a hardware wallet for anything you don't need to touch monthly- it's the only way to fully control your keys.

I don’t really trust Trustwallet. Just because it’s popular and many people use it doesn’t mean it’s good or safe:devil:

Use non centralized wallets like exodus or cake wallet , binance and coinbase freeze funds for the dumbest reasons
for cold storage use trezor , ledgers customer data has been leaked 3 times now i wouldnt trust them

I’m using exodus & trustwallet, both support pretty much every crypto out there.
