I am planning to create a blog website and get approved by Google AdSense. I need to develop a long-term plan, considering which technology to use for the best future performance. If I choose WordPress, should I create my own theme using HTML and CSS, or would it be better to purchase a theme from WordPress?

WordPress is a solid choice. Creating your own theme offers customization but requires time and expertise. Purchasing a theme is quicker and often optimized for performance and SEO. You should always choose based on your skills, time, and specific needs. At least that's what i usually do.

for the starting just go for a free updates but fastest themes like astra
than you can move toward pro version

To create your own theme besides HTML & CSS you would need to know a little bit of PHP and WordPress itself (structure, hooks). There are good free and premium themes you can start with.
