Hi everyone,
I'm trying to decide which language to use for an upcoming project: C, C++ or C#.
I'd like to hear your opinions, especially from people who have worked with them. Which would you recommend when it comes to performance, maintenance, cost and long-term use?
I'd appreciate any advice or personal experiences. Thanks.

for a windows desktop app, C# is a solid choice if u need low-level control or heavy performance, C++ makes more sense the project requirements should decide it

Depends on what you're building. C++ is great for performance, C# is much easier to maintain for most projects. I would personally go with C# unless you really need low-level control.

The project requirements should come first. C# seems like a practical choice for most Windows desktop apps, while C++ makes more sense when you need more control and performance.

c/c++ a low level machine language.
C# can make c/c++ work with pinvoke interop unto windows forms or XAML .NET MAUI
so youre still going to need C# unless visualbasic6 or visualc++ is used though seldom
