I want to open a directory site for US. Is .US or .com better choice ? .US can be bought by non us residents ? Thx very much

if you know you're not going to expand to other countries yeah, .US is better...

I would recommend sticking with the .com . Because, US won't necessarily help SEO.

If you are targeting the global market or want to build a more international brand, .com is a better choice. If you are mainly targeting the US market and want to reflect localization, .us may be more suitable for you.

Yes, .us can be bought by non is residents. I do not see any problem with this. However, to rank and maintain a .us site for a non us person, it can be little bit challenging.

it really does not matter. making sure that you have all of your SEO ducks in a row is KEY!
