Chinese Dropshippers Advice Please

Guys i know lots of you ship lots of products from China to US, and with your experience you know what and how to do! Hope you can help me with my 1st shipping from China. Thanks in advance for your time!

I need to send 30 kg from China to US(New York). What are my options? Chinese company(factory) quoted me $260 for shipping(7-8 days). Is it about right? Seems a bit to expensive?
It's not a product, it's just package for my product - 2000 items

Does not seem all that expensive but expect delays on the shipping. I doubt it arrives to you in that amount of time.

I have a lot of horror stories for you about people who let Chinese factories ship their products. That doesn't sound very expensive, but make sure they fill in the shipping documents or customs will send it back to China and then its another story for the supplier to send it back to you cos he was charged with (big) return shipping fees and will ask you to pay those before he ships anything to you again. I know people who have had nightmare experiences like this.

It is advisable to air post your 30kgs packing material by cheap fedex, price is around usd150 if its volume weight is less than 30kgs.

Bad experiences with DHL. Ask for UPS. And that price isn't ridiculous, but ask the supplier for any cheaper options. Depends not only on weight, but size is a component, too. All of my shipments from China have been over $200 for various things from LED light bulbs to electronic cigarettes.
