Mate, I am not wondering. A few weeks ago one of my friends in China got sentenced to 9 months in prison because he shared affiliate links of a gambling website...and the worst of it: He didn't even make any money.
terrible.. what could be worse than that?
pathetic..

zero tolerance + no idea of what they are doing

same like in other countries, the judges, etc. are often old men who have no technical knowledge or whatever. They only hear "he wants people to become addicted to gambling" and thats that

you know what? Teenagers can't play video games more than 1 hour per day, let alone gambling or porn.

They are getting closer to his brother North Korea.

seems like china is 'banning crypto' on a daily basis. regardless of what china and their dictatorship does bitcoin and crypto cant be stopped at this point.

Those there who have the means will still use it, just via offshore holdings etc.

You just have to ignore chinese news about crypto

I am not judging them since my own country is imposing draconian lockdowns on their own citiziens and come up with vaccine passports, etc. so yeah

Seems like mining gets a little less competitive now. Graphic cards could also get a little cheaper. Just to point out the positive aspects.
