I've edited google home page (just an example) with inspect element and saved it with "save as..." chrome option. Then I've wrote style.css and owerited the on in google_files and uploaded whole folder with filezilla in public_html/wp-content/themes/sparkling-child

No errors everything seam to work right but problem is that when I view preview in wordpress of child theme I see only parent theme design instead of google home page.
    Am I missing something?

These are files I get with HTTracker: http://imgur.com/HbjFlqA (I've added style.css for child theme)
Uploaded it with filezilla and again when I go live preview I see parent theme basic design instead of copied site.
    Why is this so tough...

Have you cleaned your browser cache?
I'm assuming you have activated your child theme

Have you converted the downloaded file into wp format?

I'll try to convert it with this tutorial
To create .php file I just need to rename text file and ad .php at end?
Cant believe its so complicated in 2017 as in 2011 :/

Every framework has their own structure and logics behind them. If you just plainly convert a html file to php by just renaming .php as the file extension, it would work as a php file but wont be accepted by wp unless your theme is wp compatible.

I mean creating txt file eg. "footer" and just renaming it to footer.php would make that file php? Need it for first step of this guide.

I wasted so much time trying to do this...
    So sooo frustrating

Of course, that's fine.. just add .php extension to the file to create a php file.
