chepest Us LLc formation?

Wyoming LLC, no annual state fees, RA charges 25 bucks a year, no state tax if you don't do business in the state. Once you have that get the RA to apply for an SS4/EIN. Once you get the EIN get your stripe, and open an account with siliconvalleybank.com online.

Have you done it, are you USA resident ?

Yeah, fill out the forms, send it by fax, wait for 4 to 6 months to get your SS4 .. and don't forget to file you full income in detail every year l

And no real bank will allow you to open online if you are non-resident. NONE

takes less than a month to get your EIN once you send the SS4. The RA can do it for you.

I have done it all and I'm no resident of the US, and I file my returns every year as well, I have an ITIN too but last year I've converted the LLC to be treated as a c-corp by the IRS so all they need is my EIN on the returns now.

You seem to be the one who hasn't even attempted to find out what can be done and how its done. Ever heard to stripe atlas? Pl stfu and mind your tone when you talk about shit you have no clue about.

This is by far the best advice OP.

In this new year January, I took the plunge to really separate myself/personal bank account from my business bank account and googled the hell out for solutions on the internet until I stumbled on Mercury.

I love Mercury, those guys really care about opening a Corporate bank account for your business as a US non-resident LLC. It's a web development and marketing agency. No SSN is required. Just use your EIN. Within 3 days, I got my LLC approved for a real brick-and-mortar bank account that also comes with VCC. Mercury provided me with both Checking and Savings account.

I already formed an LLC in Missouri for our web development agency way back in Oct 2020 during my MSc (2019-2021) when I was in Gujarat India on a scholarship. I used the service of Incfile to do the filing as I didn't wanna screw it all up. So I took their biggest package which also got me an EIN.

Missouri requires no states fee and annual bs. Comes what may, my registered agent handles the paperwork and all the hassles. I pay $40 per year to the registered agent, also I'm allowed to use their address as my official business address in the US.

PS: I'm from Africa.
so what do u use mercury for? receive money and sending money?

I would, that's only for sales. Been 2 years since I filed the LLC now and I never had any problem with fee, sort of negligible as a Single-member LLC non-resident. Such fees are very infinitesimal. You won't go wrong.

And yes it's a tax haven for non-resident.
I like your setup too, by the way. You found a great deal for that package. Yes, you're right Incfile is a bit expensive but you won't go wrong either.

Proudly Nigerian. I would love to visit some other places in Africa like Seychelles and Mauritius.
Keep on saving I am sure you could go for that full offshore Seychelles.......one day!

Yes, but also a bunch of stuff.

Mercury is not a bank. It is a banking service provider to non-resident US companies or businesses and of course to US residents also. They partner with banks the same way Payoneer would partner with some banks e.g. First Century bank, Federal Savings bank and blah. But it's way top notch than that. You get your corporate account organized and they have some other addons useful for corporate finance e.g. Quickbooks etc.

It's great if you are looking to carry your business forward 100% corporate and official as a non-resident LLC plus that's pretty much attractive to investors as it keeps your inflow and outflow a lot more organized so that you can export some financials at the end of a fiscal period. The same way you would, with any brick-and-mortar bank. Of course it's a real bank you are given. And again that makes it different than Wise and the likes.

Also useful to open some merchant accounts as you now have Corporate bank statement in checking account and in your company name (not personal name) which means higher chances of approval. Of course, for this to be meaningful, I would expect that you are cashing out payments from clients, Stripe, Paddle, 2checkout, Payoneer, Wise, WooCommerce, Shopify etc into this corporate checking account. Remit all payment into it (just in case you want investors or some proof for your future use case). That's the point!

Another top player like Mercury is the Silicon Valley Bank as someone already mentioned here. I prefer Mercury because it doesn't require monthly fee commitments, unlike the ongoing costs it takes to maintain your account with Silicon ValleyBank. Not sure the actual rates again. I'm just not interested in monthly commitments (fees) than I already incurred with registered agent ($40 per year) hosting, domain and a few others.

Forget about USA and make UK LLP
that is a good point, ONLY...the banking route is more tricky. I May do both down the line with the LLC being 1 partner of the LLP. But I considered Mercury (+LLC) a better banking option than Wise (+LLP). Technically BTW: both LLC (single Member = "Disreguaded") and LLP (Partnership, tax passing through) are both the same for TAX, the income is assumed TAXABLE where you are TAX domiciled or resident, so for both entities you just add it onto your existing income and present to your local authorities, of course, under the rules of THAT specific country, which may even exclude Foreign Earnings or NON-submitted (physically paid into the country or not) Foreign Earnings.

I am not sure how this turned into you informing me.. I am not the one who asked a question here!

UK LLC : Taxable as company
UK LLP : Not Taxable as company but as owners, so not taxable for non-uk residents

New Mexico LLC : You can open it with any name, non of your info is registered in the records and there is no identity verification, so good luck getting any bank account, or business done with that.

Any other USA company : you have to file full finance records whether its taxable or not. So, good luck dealing with the IRS
I was just interested, thanks for clarifying. I just presumed, I haven't done any research on this subject.

Another deal (amonst all the "noise) I found was $100 state fee + $25 service + $ 25 agent fee + FREE Use of address + 5 mail items scanned (junk sorted) = $150 year 1 / $25 Agent Fee Only year 2. So, you can get Ein yourself max $15-$50 (fiverr). (Ein needed for Business Bank Account - Mercury).
Hope this info helps, I still have no conclusion I'm planning for Q1/22 and still looking for the right "deal", so this is by no means a perfect answer.
May I ask you for more info? Do they help with doc fillings as I know nothing about USA law system and it is a bad thing to miss a date.

I changed I went with another office after I read their reviews, and so I paid $199+$25 (Letter of good standing) so $224, to a company that does remind you. Now, I also found a guy on 5er who got me an EIN and is a TAX consultant (so he will file the IRS forms for me but of course you can DIY, although I would suggest if you're not good with reporting and numbers get a Tax consultant to look at the business for the FIRST filing, you can learn it online and do it yourself as you become more experienced, all I'm saying is the first filing should be squeaky-clean, as many plebs always retort in ALL forums on this net thing..."Oh, I can do it myself", until they fill out the wrong box and pay 30% tax and then they stay quiet for 12 months! BUT they (the Agent) will file the Annual Report (basic balance sheet) BUT charge for the filling, but YOU still need to produce the "numbers" the in correct / required format, so as you do your business keep an "independent" record of the transactions and tot it up once a month. Don't blend "business and private" expenses, and if you PAY for a "business" something on your Personal CC or bank account do an expense report once a month and submit it to the "company", the company then owes the director/member that amount, until you get a business bank account set up. Finally, I will DM you my findings from 4 options for LLC Wyoming, DM them because if I post it some joker will accuse me of "marketing", which I am not, if I was already, I would not be forming a "basic" LLC in Wyoming by now. ... I can assure you. Hope this helps.
