checking how to beat page one competition

After checking traffic travis and market samurai, i see that the site at position one has poor on page seo and 3 backlinks to that page. But its a PR3 and has 2k backlinks pointed at the domain.

Assuming that my site has optimized on page seo, will i be able beat him by overwhelming backlinks?

granted that i do not know if his backlinks are backlinked, am i able to outrank him with xrumer blasts and scrapebox blasts to those xrumer links?

What criterias must be satisfied to out rank your competition?

i understand you have to have better on site seo, better backlinks,and older domain age. what else must be considered?

Sounds like you just summed up how to rank a site(on page seo, backlinks). Age of a domain typically will help avoid the box and keep the dance from going completely crazy. Only thing I would suggest is getting more then just xrumer blasts and sb blasts(ie article submissions, web 2.0, etc...)

That's what I do and it seems to work fairly well
