How to Detect Fake PR:

To detect Fake Pagerank, Open the webpage, such as www.domainname.com into Google & look at the cache. The cache will not be that of the site with Fake PR, instead it would be of the site of real PR. If the page looks the same as it does in Google's cache, its real.
 
i don tthink that proves anything i checked sites with real pr and they to show no page rank in cached results.
 
no you're not checking for page rank in cached results (?). you're checking to see if they are the same site in the cache as they are when you visit the URL.

if the owner is faking pagerank, the website will look one way, but the cache will be a completely different site (say, huffingtonpost.com)
 
scrapebox has a fake pr checker, just use that!
 
use the info:url search command in google and see if the result matches the url
 
I run large lists via scrapebox and then manually search using this site seomastering.com/fake-pagerank-checker.php . Found it to be accurate most of the times.

However, do note that www.domain.com and domain.com can give you different results.

but if you have any doubts you can double check using the command info:domain.com on Google as suggested above + checking the cache as suggested too
 
Google this "info:yourdomain.com" if result return the domain exact with your domain, then it is Real PR, if result return to another domain and that domain same PR with your url PR then it is Fake PR.
 
I own a domain that I'm 100% sure it has fake pagerank 4.

When I bought the aged domain I could tell what it inherited the pagerank from by using info:site.com.

info:site.com now shows my page, G cache shows my page, all online tools I've tested indicated that it isn't fake. I have not yet tested the PR in SB.

When I bought it it had about 25 backlinks. I have done some light SB blasts, but I'm quite sure it has less than 1000 backlinks now. Domain is 10 years old.

I immediately copied the archive.org content to my site, and after a month it Bluehost shut down all my sites due "Infringement Complaint" on some subpages. It now up and running with a default wp installation. (I got no complaints on first page since it was not information provided by archive.org, I will edit that page some and update the site in a few days.)

Still i cannot find a way to confirm that this site has fake PR.
